For Research
A core purpose of Political DNA is to advance understanding of political belief systems. We use response data for research in the following ways:
- Publish aggregate statistics about political beliefs and archetype distributions
- Analyze individual-level response patterns to improve assessment validity and reliability
- Share de-identified response data with academic research partners for peer-reviewed studies
- Collaborate with universities and research institutions on political psychology research
- Include findings in academic publications, conference presentations, and educational materials
De-identified vs. Anonymous: "De-identified" means your individual responses may be analyzed and shared, but stripped of any information that could identify you personally (no IP addresses, no device identifiers, no location data more specific than country). Researchers see response patterns, not people.
Research Data Principles
- Individual responses are never linked to personal identity in any publication
- Academic partners are bound by data use agreements and their institutional ethics requirements
- Research findings are published in aggregate or with sufficient sample sizes to prevent identification
- You can request your responses be excluded from future research datasets by contacting us
Optional Follow-Up Questions
After completing the assessment, you may be invited to answer optional questions about your political background, demographics, or how accurately your results reflect your views. This data helps us validate and improve the assessment.
- These questions are always optional—you can skip them entirely
- Responses are stored with your quiz results but remain de-identified
- This data may be shared with academic research partners under the same principles described above
- "Prefer not to say" options are provided for sensitive questions
We Never
- Sell your individual data to third parties
- Share your results without your explicit action (share code)
- Use your data for political advertising or targeting
- Attempt to identify anonymous users
- Require you to create an account to see your results
- Publish or share data in any form that could identify individual respondents
